Nubar Jeans Preview

Ooh... Check this out. Nubar is releasing the Jeans collection this week, and are you thinking what I'm thinking? An affordable alternative to the Les Jeans de Chanel, right?

  • Faded Jeans, a light blue shimmer
  • Boyfriend Jeans, a medium blue creme
  • Dark Wash Jeans, a dark blue creme
And the entire set of three is going to be only $19.99, less than one Chanel polish alone. Loving this.

That's all I have for now. Hope to see these for myself soon!

  1. These would definitely be my alternative to the Chanel polishes.

Do all nail companies talk to each other or what? It seems like certain brands come out with the same collections..like OPI and Sinful colors did with the Pirates collection.

  2. Aaaa.... why didn't they announce it earlier? I would not spend money on Chanel otherwise:((((( These 3 shades look pretty close. And the price is much more reasonable.

  5. Lol how is this not exactly like Chanel's release? Come on Nubar, have some creativity!

What are your favorite Nubar polishes? I'm not sure an order is worth the shipping...so I'm waiting until I want to order like 20 polishes. xP

  6. That is a great price for all three polishes... yay!

  7. @ Joyce and Makeup : I KNOW! It's so disappointing to see them straight-up duplicating another line, when they're capable of such fantastic (and unique) polishes. Especially on the heels of that rather dull fall collection.

They do make superb products -- I've never been disappointed in a Nubar formula or application. When you get around to ordering, don't miss Reclaim, Indigo Illusion, and Forest. (Also Earth, Absolute, Meadow Sparkle, Antiquity Silver, 2010...)

  8. I was pretty happy to see these. I would never shell out the money for a Chanel polish but these are so affordable!

  9. Two cremes out of three polishes seems a bit boring to me. The colours could have more interesting too, it's like we've seen this before. Snore.

  10. I'm excited by this, and would love to see swatches. I like the darker colors better, but would buy the whole set if that's the only way it's offered. WTG Nubar.

  11. I'm always torn on dupes, but in general I'm always glad to see an affordable alternative to something expensive like Chanel, however I didn't really love the chanel collection and I don't love this collection, either. Also I'm worried about Nubar- they can do better, so why aren't they?

  12. Oh yeah, also, given the problems that Chanel has with formula, I'm HAPPY when I see a company with such a great formula like Nubar doing them.

  16. @ Bronnie : TOTALLY. I've seen so many reviews of Chanel polishes that're like "omg loooove so gorgeous but chipped in eight hours." For that price? Are you kidding? It's not like they' can't afford quality ingredients or competent techs. So yeah, I don't even look at Chanel polishes. Why bother, when there's Zoya and Orly and Butter and BB and, and, and ....

  17. I really hope they look like the Chanel polishes. Love these shades.

  18. Nubar is so awesome for doing this. Definitely looks like a great alternative to the Chanel lacquers. And Nubar usually has spot-on formulas. :)
