Nails Inc. Fall Colour Collection Nail Set Fall 2011 Swatches and Review

This set by Nails Inc. is new for fall at Sephora. It contains four full-sized nail polishes in gorgeous creme-finish fall shades.

Charing Cross. A very bright, densely pigmented red. This is extremely eye-catching. It's not strictly a fall color, either. I can see this working really well in summertime, especially as a pedicure, and it's a great winter red as well. Versatile and really flattering. I've actually worn this twice in a row because I love how bright and bold it looks against my skintone.

Fenchurch Street. An orangey, caramelly, 'spiced pumpkin' type of shade. It has a tan or light brown base with a lot of orange and terracotta tone in it. Almost a suede type shade, but darker and more pumpkiny. In the same family as OPI Ginger Bells. This one looks like fall to me!

Paddington. A dark blackened teal. Or, in certain lights, a blackened grey-green. Vampy and dark but it doesn't look black. I like it because it reminds me of this:

St. Pancras. I can't tell you how many times I've called this St. Pancreas. Pancras. Pancras. Anyway... This is a deep vampy wine shade. It has more purple tones than Nails Inc. Victoria and it has a dense creme finish rather than a jelly finish. Very pigmented, no hints of a jelly finish at all.

The formula on these was beautiful. I had no problem at all with application. The shades were all dense and pigmented, almost completely opaque in one coat, but I do really thin coats so I used two for these colors. Drying time is average on these.

The shades are presented in a white box embossed with some pretty silver reflective designs.

Overall, great set of colors. The Nails Inc. creme formula is gorgeous and the shades in the set are all perfect for fall (and winter). Each shade retails for $9.50 individually, but the set of four is only $25 so you get a bit of a deal. I'd love to buy these as gifts for friends! The presentation is beautiful and the shades are all wearable and easy to apply.

This is available now at Sephora.

  1. GORGEOUS. Simply beautiful colours.
I *think* that those are all named for underground stations in London?
Although I'll ALWAYS associate Paddington with the bear ^.^ Mmm marmalade sandwiches!

    Great post :D

  6. These colors really are beautiful...but other than Charing Cross, they seem so reminiscent of Essie's fall collection even though they're not exactly alike (Fenchurch Street = Very Structured, Paddington = Power Clutch, St. Pancras = Carry on). Not that I'm complaining, these are my favorite kinds of shades, it's just something I noticed and wonder if you did too!

  8. All these Nails Inc polishes are named after main line London stations... I live in London, as is my sister, but while I say St Pancras no problem, she STILL maintains it's St Pancreas!! Hmm.... Pancreas... Ha.
Thank you for your swatches, Scrangie!

  12. Haha, I remember Paddington Bear! :D And, oh my gosh, I read "St. Pancras" as "St. Pancreas" at first. Well, that would certainly be a different name. :P

  23. Great swatches as usual. Thanks! I am an all out Nails Inc fan. Their creams are hard to be outdone. I think Butter London and DL have some dreamy creams too - but Nails Inc really is getting to be a fav of mine for their formula that is flawless & shiny!
