It started out innocently enough. I hadn't worn black polish in a while, and really wanted to do a shiny black mani.
I applied my favorite, Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers Black Pearl, which isn't pearl at all, but a perfect, smooth, shiny opaque black.
As I admired my shiny black nails, I just couldn't help but feel that they were a little too plain.
So, I got out my trusty Konad and decided on plate m65 with China Glaze Adore from the Romantique collection as my stamp color.
It was just what I needed! It looked awesome.
Fast forward to the next day.
I had been cleaning with my hands in water all day, and by the time I was done I had serious tipwear. I didn't have time to re-do my manicure completely, so I resorted to my old lazy manicure trick: Cover up the tipwear with a french tip!
And so, a horrible monstrosity of a manicure was born.
Small children and those with weak stomachs, look away now.
I present to you, The Abomination:

OMG! It looks like a 1970s put on a Santa hat and cut off the top but kept the fluffy brim. I laughed so hard I scared the cat.

ReplyDeleteI don't think covering the tip wear was a bad idea. I think it was just poor choice of covering. It might have turned out better if you had covered the tip wear in a French tip in the same color as the Konad stamping.
ReplyDeleteSomeone asked it is was PCFS, but it looks more like Color Club Magic Attraction. It's too chunky to be PCFS.
This isn't the worst mani I've ever seen. Siobahn posted a manicure misstep she made when she layered white crackle polish over red. Her nails looked like severely bloodshot eyeballs.
I wasn't ready for the thick glitter tips! Made me giggle at work... thanks! ;)
