The April Fools' Polishes

Good morning, everyone! I'm happy my April Fools' Day joke yesterday made you smile! I think a few people actually took it seriously and thought I had lost my mind... XD

Anyway, some of you were asking about what the polishes actually were (didn't want to answer yesterday and spoil the joke), so here's what I used:

Homestyle Ranch was two coats of OPI Don't Touch My Tutu followed by one coat of Nubar Black Polka Dot, another coat of Don't Touch My Tutu and then a final coat of Black Polka Dot.

Nacho Cheese was Zoya Arizona.

Tangy Barbecue was OPI Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ over OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys.

Spicy Buffalo Wing was OPI A Roll In The Hague.

Honey Mustard was BB Couture For Men Stick Shift.

Now for the part *I* want to know... Did you pull any April Fools pranks on anyone yesterday?? I'm dying to hear!

  3. I posted a Facebook status of a pregnancy test. When you clicked on it to look at it close up, it said "just kidding" in the window.

  13. Yesterday was pretty much me continually April-Fools-ing myself. From asking strangers why the mail hadn't come when I walked to check it THREE times (...Sunday...) to mistaking bottles of soap for bottles of juice. Take all of the moments a blonde, drunken, half-awake five year old would have and that was literally my entire day. Which turned into so many laughs for people around me I didn't even have to April Fool's anyone else.

What's great is literally about an hour prior to this, I was reading comments about your blog prank of last year. Fast forward to this post and I BELIEVED IT. I even turned to someone and showed them saying "she's lost her mind".

Glad to know it's only March and yet I've already filled my entirely yearly quota for gullible and spaced out!

  16. I'll be honest, I believed you right up until the second paragraph when you started talking about how low-carb and low-cal they were and went, "Hang on - OH."

I didn't prank anyone, I can never think of anything good enough!

  17. That was too funny! And reading through the comments, I was amazed at the people who still thought it was for real - especially the one chastising you for suggesting someone eat polish, LOL! Also, in reading through the comments, I learned that you do this very year and I looked up your previous April Fools posts...very amusing. :) I've never been creative enough to come up with any pranks. And thankfully, no one played any on me!!

  18. Loved it! I have the same sandwich combo using Tutu w LA Girls glitter addict in Celebrate, looks like Pop Tarts or white easter speckled milk duds! So dreamy.

I got my 8yr son all day but the best was a treat of a glass of diet coke which was really black coffee! Also the best, woke him up like I was in labor, he really forgot I had the baby 2yrs ago!!

  23. I decided to try out some of my favorite nail designs from my blog archives (since I can't repeat!) and paint them on my nails.... the twist? They were painted on the heads of nails from the hardware store. :) Not as awesome as flavored polishes, but I giggled. :-P

  27. It's totally oldschool, but we have a Borden plant in the town I work, and if you can get just 1 person to do it, you have them call the Borden plant and ask for L.C. Dekow (Elsie the Cow). Last year, I got my mother by telling her my school needed tax info for financial aid. Gave her the number, told her it was someone named Lacretania Dekow, but just ask for LC Dekow (pronouned Deck-ow). She did it, didn't realize it until a few minutes into the call arguing with the poor Borden receptionist. Epic April Fool's day.:)
