eBay Scum part two

Just so you can all see why I'm so upset, look at what this dirty thief did to my pictures!

Here's my original picture:

And here's what they did to it!! :

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?!?!

The not only stole and altered eight of my images, but several images from The Polish Addict and All Lacquered Up as well. How can they live with themselves?

I have emailed them asking them to remove my images, but they have not responded and have not removed my images.

I don't want to have to keep posting about this, but I am livid and sad at the same time. I just can't get over this. It's un-effing-believable. What kind of lowlife scum just steals pictures and then tries to pass them off as their own? I mean, if they're selling the polish, why not just take their own damn pictures?

I've been stewing over this all day. Unbelievable. Sorry for bitching about it, but I really need to vent. You guys are all awesome, and I really appreciate your kind words and support.

  1. This would be laughable if it weren't rude! You can still see bits of your "Scrangie" on this ripped off shot! Pathetic. Sorry this is happening to you. :-(

  2. That's really bad...really blatant! Take the time to take your own pictures...you are already getting the profit from the sale!!!

  3. Scrangie, is there any way you can report the seller to eBay? If so, definitely do it!

  4. Karina, I know! Isn't just... beyond absurd? I love posting pictures and I just can't believe someone would take advantage of my passion for polish like that!

Shanidy, isn't so horrible? They should pay me for what they sell, since my picture is selling it, don't you think? ;-)

Kimmydarling, I have reported them to eBay, but so far no response. The last time someone stole my pictures the seller was nice enough to take them down, but I guess not this time :(

  7. OMG report them immediately!!! Get them kicked off eBay! If they straight up stole them it would just be bad, but the fact they cut out your name AND THEN added their own, that's unforgivable! That's basically saying it's their own! And it shows that they know what they did was wrong!

  8. I hate people. Honestly, I DO. Bleh.

But.. if it helps, I just did a search for "mybeautyparlour" on Ebay an only found two auctions from some Singaporean person, and your pictures weren't in any of them! Maybe they were removed?

  9. How rude. Big hugs Scrangie, I guess they are doing it cos your nails are so pretty but they should ask. It seems to be a trend lately. No one ever really stole pics before then in the last few months they're all doing it :-(

  11. That is so rude! F*ing annoying!
I just looked at this sellers shop and he/she seriously steels pics everywhere and try to make them look like their own. Ahhh, this makes me so angry!

  14. EASY SOLUTION fOR ALL - BUY ONLY FROM MANUFACTURERS and AUTHORIZED DISTRUBTORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is it worth a few pennies to get used product, expired product, stolen product from this sort of person - NO

  15. One good thing about them putting their watermark on the stolen photo is that I can see what ebayer I'm not going to be dealing with.

Sorry Scrangie, I hope they took the pics down.

  16. Terrible! I do understand completely. It happened to me too, but with picturess not of nails or makeup, but actual artwork-pictures and florals. It is so upsetting and every time it happens I feel like I shpuld stop sharing my work over Internet, but then, I like to share and comunicate. I just don't like thieves.

  17. Scrangie, I am so sorry you are going through this! You can vent with us all you want, as I think we all commiserate!

The scary thing is that plagiarism is not even punished in many schools any more...at best kids are getting a slap on the wrist. It is really hard with information on the internet, as there is no one policing what goes on. This is why I refuse to post my course notes on a website. However, it is sad when you are posting something for us to share your enjoyment and someone else is profiting from that.

I am not sure EBay will do anything, but your complaint to them is the best thing you can do. That and hoping that the seller develops a fungus that causes their nails to fall out - the irony fairies should be called in!

With all my love and support,
    Melli

  18. I think they removed the pictures because I can't see this person's items for sale...

Good thing you reported them, love your site btw!

  19. That's the beauty of blogging - you can vent all you want! And of course you should vent, this is preposterous!

  20. Katee, thanks! So far the pics are still up :(

Ladyslatternly, isn't it?? I mean, if you're selling the product, you could obviously take your *own* picture. *sigh*

MariahGem, that's what gets me about it! It's just so ballsy of them. Ugh!! I have reported them, but so far nothing. :(

Chaosophia, I'm with ya, heh. :D These auctions are on eBay Singapore, so I'm not sure if you can search for them on regular ebay... Hmm

Carla, thank you! Hugs back! I wouldn't care it all if they would just give me credit for MY hard work! =/

    Angela, awwwwe hehe thanks! <3

Sanna, isn't it horrible? I mean, do they even HAVE what they're selling? If they do, why not take their OWN pics?!?! Grr!

Olga Diaz, it might help! You can click on each auction and on the bottom of the page it will say "report this item" and a category for "copying of your listing" or "Stolen property." Both fit the situation but I'm not sure which is more effective!

Melanie, I just couldn't believe my eyes!

Anonymous, no one is buying this stuff, I was just alerted that they had stolen my images, that's all. I don't think anyone would buy from this jerk. The problem isn't with the product, it's with my stolen and altered images!

    HoneyHoneyNY, awww thanks! :D

Sminkan, oh no! That's horrible! :( I really know how you feel- I love to share my pictures with everyone and I am not going to stop doing it! :D

Melli, thank you! I see plagiarism *everywhere* lately and I think it's a sign of pure laziness- people are not only starting to steal more, they're becoming more lazy and that is truly sad. And the nail fungus- LOL! Too cool! :D

Willa, sorry, I forgot to mention that the seller is on eBay Singapore :( My pics are still up on ebay singapore unfortunately :(

Fifrildi, awwe thank you! Sometimes I am afraid to vent because I don't want to scare people into thinking I'm insane, lol :D

  21. That's really pathetic that people would stoop to that kind of level and steal like that! I swear, the nerve of some people!
I think that you should report these people, pronto!

  23. I think they took your pics off. But they still have up Cincy's pics and The Polish Addict's pics. Such a shame!!

  25. You own more nail polishes than you'd find in a regular beauty parlor. We already think you are insane ;o) And look how we love you and keep coming back!
