Nubar Stardust

This isn't really the color I think of when I hear the word Stardust, but nonetheless, it's a great color. I feel like I've seen it before, though- maybe an old OPI color was like this? Pluto Plum? I can't put my finger on why this looks so familiar!

Nubar Stardust. All the colors in this one show up really well in the photos, so I will spare you the lengthy text description. One thing that's interesting about this polish is that it has an unusually strong yellow duochrome, something I don't see in many other multichrome polishes. It's quite dramatic looking. One minute it's completely pink, the next it's entirely yellow!

  2. It is because of your "previous" photos that I bought this shade and I adore it!!! There is something really magical about it and you're right... It literally transforms on your nail depending on the angle. I know colour club has a similar shade tk it too...

  3. This reminds of of a lighter sister version of Nicole by Opi Whatever. Maybe it's just me?

I really need to get some Nubar duochromes but I'm still having a hard time paying for the exorbitant shipping cost! Thanks for the swatches scrangie, I follow your blog religiously :)

  9. Ditto here - I have seen this before...I am thinking Pluto Plum was a special release? I know I had it and it was for me, and early example of duochrome. I was not that much of a fan of the color combo with the gold, purple, green. It can look kind of sick in some lighting. This seems to do the same thing. I know I gave Pluto Plum away when I purged my early on collection when I was not aware what collector items polish shades would end up being.

  15. I had Pluto Plum - it was darker on the purple/green duo - sort of reminiscent in my mind to Orly Space Cadet of 2010 as I am recalling Pluto Plum - yet I know where you are getting the association of these 2. Pluto Plum was sort of a wow, what are they doing with these color mixes - yet it had sort of an ick quality when I put it on - could have just been before it's time as we were still into a lot of mauves and not too much edgy had come out yet. I let my bottle of Pluto Plum go but I have this Nubar - have to say I only have worn it maybe 2 times. It's not one I seem to want to leave on and mix and match with just anything I end up wearing. Maybe I should use it a # of times on my toes this winter when pretty much only I see my toes so I can really decide if I like it or not for me.
