OPI Euro Centrale Collection Spring/Summer 2013 Official Announcement

One more announcement from OPI: Spring 2013!

OPI Announces the Launch of Euro Centrale for Spring/Summer 2013

Classic meets contemporary with Euro Centrale by OPI for Spring/Summer 2013. Celebrating a region where history meets modern design, the collection’s twelve new nail lacquers offer a mixture of glamorous metallic hues; playful bright shades in periwinkle, aqua and pink; and creamy blues in indigo, midnight and aubergine.

“Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania make up an exciting new fashion hotspot,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director.  “When visiting these countries, you’ll view Gothic churches alongside vibrant graffiti murals, blending two very different aesthetics. This fusion of old and new was also seen in runway looks during New York Fashion Week, where classic styles were reinvented with modern silhouettes and patterns.

Euro Centrale boasts a wide variety of shades, ranging from pale nude to deep blue – and featuring everything from shimmering copper to aqua in between!,” continues Weiss-Fischmann. “Whether you’re looking to spice up a black and white print, or add neutrality to a vivid brocade, these lacquers are designed to accessorize spring’s hottest looks.”

Euro Centrale by OPI includes the following shades:

Blue and violet are dancing partners in this glittery combo.

  2. This doesn't have me all that excited :/

  3. These are really dull colors. I had thought OPI had stepped up their game after the Skyfall collection, but this is just dull "seen it a million times before" types of colors.

  4. Cant wait to see them in person. I already know I'm picking up the glitter one, I do with every collection:)

  6. It looks very promising (for an opi collection) reminding you last year spring pirates of the Caribbean were all plain dusty subdued cremes. We've got a glitter here, that's something LOL!

  11. I really like these. Subdued, dark, creamy, really rich. A nice break from all the holo and glitter ! (Which I really like, but nice to see all these gorgeous dark cremes for a change!)

  16. "Oy-Another Polish Joke?" Really? What shade name did that win out over, "I'd Lodz to Take a Train Ride?"

    Pass.

  18. So for this collection just looks "meh" to me, I could easily find 6 of those colors online in different collections or stores. Polka.com looks pretty but I'll wait on the swatches. Thanks for the collection info! =)

  19. wow! I never thought the my country Romania will inspire them to create nail polishes. Although I do not like so much the shades ( i thnik they could have come with better shades inspired by my country) i will be patriotic!
Thank you for the info :)

  24. The names get worse :)

  25. Mm, I'm loving Czechbook. But is A Woman’s Prague-ative a dead ringer for the Mariah Carey "Sprung"?

  26. Makes me think of the older shades, Vould you Like a Lichtenstein and It's My Prague-ative.

I agree that lots of the puns have gone downhill, but I must say that I do like Czechbook! (both the pun and the color)

  27. While I live for fall items to come out, once it gets here, I wish companies would stop rushing all of the other seasons. I dislike being in November and seeing companies push out their spring lines. Let me enjoy one season first, please! I know it's just the way of the industry, though.

On a funny note (at least to me), well, actually, annoying note, I am living in Hawaii due to my husband's duty station and here, they roll out the winter clothes just like on the mainland. I mean full-blown winter gear, fur UGG and UGG-style boots, big, over-sized parka coats with fur trimmed hoods, the whole nine yards. It's insane. What's more insane is people walk around in this gear...even in 80-something degree weather, just because it's (allegedly) 'fashionable'.

    1. I had to LOL at the thought of seeing people in Uggs and heavy parkas on the beach. Too funny. I'm jealous!! I want to go to Hawaii!!! I'm in Texas and it is 32 degrees right now...I don't mind the cold...but it would be nice to see snow if it's gotta be this stinking cold!! I haven't seen snow in years. =/
Happy Holidays...now go get you some Uggs LOL.

  28. I really like Vant to Bite My Neck and A Woman's Prague-ative. I am on a nude kick right now so I also like My Vampire is Buff. The others I'll pass I think. I wish I could see more difference between the two deep blues though.

  29. Has anyone seen them for sale yet? I have looked online everywhere and can't find them at all.
