Nubar Prisms Collection Quickie Blurry Preview

I was way too excited to wait for appropriate lighting for swatches, so I snapped a few pics in the dark of the Nubar Prism samples that just arrived. I really need to see these in sunlight to assess them properly and write a real review, so here are some funky blurry crappy pictures because I'm impatient and overly excited about new holos.

  8. Haha! You're "blurry" photos equal my "normal" photos! These are gorgeous! They remind me a bit of some of the OPI DS colours, except I won't be allergic to these! :D

  14. Is the glitter in those comparable to glitter in china glaze red ruby pumps (size and sparkling intensity)?

    I really love the glitter in RRP so im looking for anything similar :).

  21. OPI discontinued some of the DS colors. My fav was DS Design. Looks like Gem or Spark may be close relatives.

  26. Even though the quality of these photos aren't your best, I'm still really glad that you posted them so that we could see them sooner! :D I really wish that Nubar shipped to Canada so I wouldn't have to resort to eBay to get my hands on these.

  27. I was super excited about these until I found out the red was holo glitter, not a holo like China Glaze OMG collex. So I just frankened my own red. But I'm LOVING alot of those other colors

I'm a devoted glossy creme finish person, but I've been giving the matte thing a try (especially with a matching glossy tip, which gives just a little bit of shine and helps avoid chipping) and my first thought when I saw these was "I bet they'd look awesome with a matte topcoat". I'm wondering if "mattifying" these would make some of them weekday appropriate (otherwise stuff like this is strictly weekend wear for me).

  43. I am counting the days to January 1 -I have to get most of these. I know everyone likes Prize, the red, but that's the one I know I DON'T want... bright reds like that look terrible on me :( And I may not want the blue one either... not sure. But the rest??? OH YEAH.... thank God for Christmas Money :)
