Enchanted Polish Hey Jude Swatches and Review

This is one of my favorite polishes of all time.  It was part of a set of indie polishes that I was sent to review, and I had never seen it before.  I'd heard of Enchanted Polish, I'd seen people mention some other colors by them, but I really was clueless and nothing prepared me for the shock that I got when I pulled this bottle out of that mystery box. I can't believe I haven't done a full post on this color yet.  I posted it on Twitter right when I got it, but it deserves more pictures than that.  Bigger pictures.  Lots of them.  This is about as close to my dream polish as I've seen so far.

Enchanted Polish Hey Jude.  Do not adjust your screen.  You are not seeing things.  This polish is actually multichromatic and holographic.  My pictures don't even begin to do it justice.  It is glorious.  It's a green-based multichrome that flashes every color of the rainbow depending on the angle in which it's viewed.  It is dominantly gold/olive/green/blue in most lights, but you can get a really amazing blue/pink/purple side to pop out in dim light.  In very bright light (or with flash, as seen above), in addition to the strong scattered holographic effect, a pink base shimmer shows through and adds a nice, unexpected twist to the olive duochrome.

The formula on this is pretty good.  Not perfect, but not bad either.  It's nice and smooth, but if I don't take my time and control my brushstrokes, it has a tendency to pool at the edges.  It's not too thick or too thin, but it does have a bit of a 'stretchy' (for lack of a better term) quality to it.  I had the best results when I applied thin coats and waited three minutes between each.  I'm wearing four coats here, no topcoat.

Not only is it named after one of my favorite songs, it's also a combination of my two favorite nail polish finishes (duochrome/multichrome and holographic) and contains my two favorite colors (purple and green!).  This color just completely blows my mind.  I adore it.  I haven't felt this strongly about a color in a long time.

Enchanted Polish is available from llarowe in the US and Harlow & Co in Canada.

  2. Enchanted Polish is... enchanting! I'd be curious to read a review of Magical Mystery Tour and others from the same multichrome-holo collection. As always, your reviews are simply... enchanting!

  3. I am happy to see you love it because it is on it's way to me now. I am very excited, I love the Beatles and the song, so like you I love it for those reasons alone. But these colors in this collection are also insane. I am sure I will want to have more of them!

  7. OMG. Amazing. Is it limited (did I miss that somewhere)?

    1. Not limited but kind of hard to get your hands on! The restocks sell out lightning quick, although Hey Jude has been around for a while so sometimes it stays in stock longer than other colors.

  8. It's nice to see indies that are not just glitter. Don't get me wrong, I love glitter, but it's a nice break from the indie brands. However, this duochrome is gorgeous!

    1. You can order Enchanted Polish from Norway Nails and Pshiiit Boutique (france), I think! They even usually have them in stock for much longer than the US and Canadian retailers. Hope that helps :)

  22. Olive greens don't like me, but this is drop dead gorgeous. Maybe with the pink flash I could get away with it.

  23. Enchanted Polish is one of my favourite polish brands. Hey Jude was the first from Imagine collection I put my hands on and I could not calm down until I collected all 7 polishes named after the Beatles songs (6 duochromes and non-duochrome Yellow Submarine). Love them all!

  26. Enchanted Polish is becoming one of my favourite indie brands. I "met" these bottles only recently and I'm longing for more.
I bought some holos, but once I discovered these holo multichromes........
This one is gorgeous. Like the others.

  27. I really agree with you, this is definitely one of my all-time favourite polishes! I love polishes that are both duochrome and holographic, that means that they are amazing in all light conditions. BTW, have you tried Mean Mr Mustard? It is also pretty gorgeous!

  28. I have every polish Chelsea has ever made. In my mind she is a holo genius. She has more duochrome holos coming out shortly!
