Essence Colour & Go in Irreplaceable

I don't own very many Essence polishes, but every single one I have is amazing. This is one of the latest additions to my collection:

Essence Colour & Go Quick Drying Nail Polish in Irreplaceable. This is a light greyed-taupe creme base with some chunky bright golden shimmer. This is such a pretty color, and the name is fitting. I don't think I own another color that looks exactly like this. It does remind me of the new China Glaze color Fast Track, but there's a lighter base and more prominent shimmer in Irreplaceable.

The only thing I don't like about this is the tiny bottle and awkward brush. They're not horrible, but they're not my ideal bottle and brush, you know?

I really should get to picking up some more Essence polishes. They're really nice. Cheap, too.

    2. They do "remodel" their line every half year. :/ However, there will be new lovely shades, swatches of some of them here:

Also those, though I don't know if they will be sold in the USA:

      (Hope it's ok to link.)
They will also make their limited edition flakie topcoat permanent.

Btw, even though this is a german brand, you get them cheaper than we do. We have to pay 1,25 € for those tiny bottles. :(

  3. Ugh! Want. Where can you buy essence polishes? I like in the bay area, CA and have not been able to figure out where to buy them

    1. As far as I know, only Ulta has these in the US. I personally haven't seen them being sold anywhere besides Ulta, and only a limited selection at that :(

    2. Had to comment here and say that Fred Meyer's also carries Essence, but I know these stores aren't everywhere.

    1. Ah, yes, Nite Owl! I almost forgot about that. They are similar, you're right. I love that one too!

  8. Pretty! I have two Essence polishes (not this one) but haven't tried either yet. The bottle is so tiny and I'm afraid my awkward hands won't be able to handle the brush right.

    1. It is a little tricky, I have to admit. But if I take my time and don't rush like I usually do, I can usually get a good application with it!

  9. I bought it too, just before they removed it from the displays. Phew. It's really gorgeous!

  10. It's definitely not like a lot of other polishes, that's for sure. I found it a little too warm to really suit my skintone, and layering it over a cool taupe didn't really help. At least I didn't spend a lot on it!

  11. This is my absolute favorite polish in the history of the world! Seriously!! lol! I absolutely love all the Essence polishes I have, they are absolutely fabulous, I have yet to have one that gave me trouble! And I have to say, for a mini bottle, these don't give me any problems.

    I seriously love this color!

  12. Very pretty. I have a few cremes from Essence that I love. Next trip I make to Ulta I'm going to have to see if they have a decent selection.

  13. I love Essence Colour&Go polishes just for their tiny size, indeed! A small bottle makes me think I can use it up..sooner or later.
Almost all of them are one coaters, they dry quickly and are longlasting....for such a price should I want more? :D

  14. I heard that we're getting Essence cosmetics in Canada soon. That would be awesome - we need more cheap but noteworthy nail polishes. This one is gorgeous!!! :)

  15. This is my favorite Essence color! They're clearancing a bunch of stuff at my Fred Meyer so I can't wait to see what new stuff will be going in!

  16. I love this one, too! I think I could see flashes of green and red in some lightings?! I don't know why we Europeans can't make large polish bottles just like US companies, it's a shame ;)

  17. Your swatch has perfect timing! A friend bought me some Essence polishes in one of her trips abroad and this was one of them. I did admire it in the bottle but since I didn't want to change my mani just yet I didn't try it. After seeing your swatches I just can't wait to wear it:)

  18. Yes, this color is now discountinued. I am not sad, cause I have owned two similar colors by p2 and Catrice.
BTW: Have you ever tried Catrice polishes?

  19. This is a gorgeous color. I don't have any Essence polishes and the only place that I know sells them is at Ulta and there's none close to my house. I'll probably just get Fast Track though!

  20. **swoon!!** I don't own any Essence polishes. I clearly need to.

  21. How does this compare to Fast Track from the China Glaze Hunger Games collection?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Aw man, I totally want that and it's apparently ungettable! Boooo. Does look similar to Nite Owl, yes, but lighter and sparklier and less taupey. Waaaaant.

  23. I have this color and I love it!

  24. So beautiful! I would love to see a comparison between this, Nite Owl, and Fast Track. I have Nite Owl and love it, but the shimmer in Irreplaceable and Fast Track looks amazing.

  25. This is an amazing color. I don't remember seeing a shade/formula quite like it. Thanks for swatching. Your nails look gorgeous!

  26. yup, they are really cheap, I can forgive them for the bad brush and mini bottle :P

i need to go see if my local counter stocks this, they haven't been updating the colours for ages!

  27. Very elegant, versatile shade - from daytime to night time! Love it!

  28. wow, i need to go buy this right now!! :P

  29. I have this one, so beautiful! Essence Colour & Go is great.

  30. i have bought exactly the same one 1 month ago. it's really beautiful :)

  31. Scrangie, is this pretty similar to China Glaze's new Fast Track? I just bought Irreplaceable, but I'm drooling over Fast Track too :P

    ReplyDelete
  32. I really love your swatches, because they are helpful with decisions to buy a polish or not. You should definitely get more Essence because they're great just as you said, the bottle is kinda weird. It's to small and it gets empty fast.

  33. I have this color and I adore it, but I cannot even get two days out of it without it chipping. I use Orly Rubberized basecoat and the last time I used the Color Club 60 second topcoat, which was probably my mistake right there. Next time I'll try it with no topcoat and see how it goes.
