My first Barry M polishes!

Another post I have been meaning to do for a long time!

Nail-blogging British friend of mine Helen surprised me on my birthday with a package that included some awesome Barry M polishes. There was some Illamasqua and a really kickass Barry M eyeliner as well, but those are for another post!

Thank you again so much for this amazing gift! I love everything.

284 Emerald Green. This is a light emerald shade with tons of shimmer. It's in between frost and metallic. Very shiny, kind of reflective and sparkly at the same time. It applied so smoothly, with only a hint of visible brushstroke.

299 Racing Green. A rich dark green with blue overlay... It's sort of duochrome, but you can see both colors clearly all the time. It's kind of like green underneath and blue on top! Is it green shimmer in a blue jelly base? Such a cool polish. It reminds me of Bloom Bianca, but this seems darker. Very similar feeling to the two polishes- aquatic, mermaidy, rich and botanical. Like leafy dark green seaweed in deep blue water!

I love these polishes a lot! I don't know if I can even get Barry M here- I've heard they have a website you can order from, but I've also heard stories of bad customer service when ordering from them, so I won't post the link. However, if you are in the UK, these are probably readily available to you, so go check out these gorgeous greens!

  4. Racing Green is one of my favourite polishes, partly because I find it an incredibly flattering colour for my fair skin.
I've ordered Barry M from their online shop and while shipping was a bit slow and I'd have preferred using Paypal I didn't have any problems.

  5. I began ordering from Barry M about 2 years ago (I'm in Calif) and have had no problems. Quite the contraray, they've shipped quick and my orders are always correct. AFAIK, we can only get them from their site, but I wouldn't hesitate to order again, which I'll be doing soon. I LOVE their polishes!

  11. I know this is off-topic but have you heard of Gelous Advance Nail Gel Coat? I heard it makes your nails tough like acrylic but doesn't damage it like acrylic help strengthen your nails and grow them..almost like the Qtica Nail growth stimulator...I just bought the bottle and have yet to try it but wanted to know if you have?

  12. Oh yay barry M!
I wore racing green the other day with MAY (niiiiiice, loving it big time and the next day turned it into an ombre/gradation mani with Essence All Access (Nihrida has swatches), CG GuG, (all bluish greens), Diamond Never so evergreen and OPI HTAT. The matte made the little shimmer in HTAT come out really nicely, so the colors when surprisingly well together. GBB was too blue, Em Green, Sinful SF SH Em city too yellowy bright green Fun. no pic (too lazy to figure out the macro setting - will do one day)

  14. I have mint green which I swear to you is a dupe for Chanel Jade. Honest to God.
I am in the UK so don't know about ordering.
But try 304 if you like Jade.
Tangerine is gorgeous too. Also the stringy glitter one: Once Upon a Time.
    Recommended.
