Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Trio for Blue Eyes

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Trio for Blue Eyes
press sample

Hey... look what I found hanging out in my drafts folder.  Eyeliner! Pretty ones, too. All this time just waiting for me to do some eye looks and swatches with them.  But, hey, I took pictures, might as well post them, swatches or not.

What I liked:
  • Pretty packaging
  • Good, basic, very wearable colors
  • Easy application
  • Smudges nicely
  • Reasonable price
  • It's for blue eyes, but all three shades look especially nice on dark brown eyes like mine
What I didn't like:
  • Not as pigmented or intense as any other kohl I've used
  • Breaks very easily
  • Grittier than other kohls I've used
Not bad, but not great either.  I wish they were more pigmented because I like how easily they apply, especially if I feel like doing a smudged liner smoky eye thing.  At least they're cheap! About $10 for the trio.

  1. I had the same take on these: they broke too easily and didn't apply as smoothly!! (They also didn't give me the precision that I prefer, but I knew going in that these were not super-slim, so I put that one on me.)

  3. Hi Scrangie! Long time reader. I'm a bit confused by this review - are there no actual product swatches?

  4. I've got this set as well as the Nude and Smoky versions and of the three this set was the least kohl-like. The others were much nicer, especially the Nude! The middle color in that set is my favorite taupe ever.

  5. Yo Scrangie, do we get swatches? or just pretty product shots. I'd love to see these on!

  6. Are there swatches? It'd really help to see this on.

  7. These were awful. I have the same set and the tips broke off right after I bought them and took them out to try them. They smudge and are difficult to apply (due to the thick tip; I rub them on my hand and use an angled brush to apply).
