Another Fall 2012 collection makes its debut today, and it's so good it almost makes me forget about the 100º+ weather outside. Zoya's fall collection comes in two parts as usual, and this time I'm starting out with my favorite half: the shimmering, sparkling, jewel-toned Diva Collection.
Zoya Diva Collection Fall 2012
Zoya Daul. Daul has a sheer light purple base with tons of chunky gold foil flakes. It's very much like Zoya Faye in finish, but with a different base color. This is much more purple and blue-toned compared to Faye.
Zoya Elisa. This red is intense. It's a good balance of very rich, vibrant red color with an extremely shiny, glowy, almost chrome-like metallic finish. Makes me think of shiny red Christmas ornaments.
Zoya FeiFei. Now this is a special color. It has that chunky sparkle finish that Zoya is known for, but unlike a lot of their other Sparkle polishes, it's made up of a rainbow of colors. The base of it is a lighter sheer steel blue, but the shimmer in it is a little bit of everything. Gold, green, light blue, a little silver, and a really cool-looking pink/red/gold duochrome particle. The pink duochrome shimmer all seems to sink to the bottom of the bottle, so be sure to shake it really well before wearing it.
Zoya Ray. Dark green frost. It looks a little lighter here than it looks in real life, but not too far off. It's a very dark blackened green, but not so dark that it looks black. It has a bit of silvery frost running through it and that gives it a bit of a soft smoky look once it's dried.
Zoya Song. Whoa. Blue. Really, really blue. And not just blue, blue with glitter. The glitter in this is nice, too. It's smooth and flat and metallic, more like foil particles than actual glitter. No rough, chunky, topcoat-devouring finish here. I know that this is the fall collection, but this is my idea of a perfect 4th of July blue. They should do a special gift set with this one, America and Snow White or Purity or Ginessa or something.
Zoya Suri. And last but not least, a purple. Glowy, shimmery royal purple. Lighter than Yasmeen, darker than Juno. Seems to lean a little more red than blue to me, and the finish is somewhere in between frost and chrome. If you look closely, you can see that it's filled with tiny little red and blue speckles as well.
The formula on these was very good. Slightly thick, but a smooth, even-flowing, opaque kind of thick. I only needed two coats of each polish. FeiFei and Daul would look even better with three, but they don't really need it. The only flaw I could find with the formula is that the dry time is a little long.
Overall, awesome collection. I like every polish. There's something special about each color and not a single one in the set is boring, plain or ugly. Lots of vibrant yet deep fall jewel tones and plenty of shiny, chunky sparkle. FeiFei is especially interesting and definitely worth seeing in person if you get the chance.
Stay tuned for part 2 of Zoya Fall 2012!
The Zoya Diva Collection will be available on Zoya.com starting July 15th.

OMG, I just love fall collections with all the dark shades!
ReplyDeleteDaul and FeiFei are gorgeous! Oh and Ray too, I have nothing like that I think, I don't own many greens.
These are just gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are really nice but I am truly in love with that blue! It's so striking!
ReplyDeleteWow. That's all I can say! I'm trying to do a low-buy July, but I want most of these.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love already. I got the NYFW sets, so when I saw they were bringing back some of those shades, I was super excited. I'm anxiously awaiting the rest of the gloss/jelly shades.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely be getting Daul. And probably FeiFei. I'm such a sucker for polishes like the both of them. Although, I'm also digging the jewel toned ones.
ReplyDeleteThanks for swatching and sharing!
OMG gorgeous! nice of you to include bottle shots of FeiFei *need it*
ReplyDeleteFeiFei and Song are coming home with me! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThese look fantastic. I agree with you, that is a July 4th blue to me. Feifei reminds me of another polish but I can't think of what it is. It's gorgeous though. Ray and Suri will definitely be added to the list. Thanks for helping me spend my money! Perfect swatches and post as usual!
ReplyDeleteZoya feifei is very similar to Opi On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I have both and love both but there is something extra special about feifei
DeleteFeifei is very similar to Opi On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I have both and live both but there is something special about Feifei
DeleteThis is a wonderful collection! Elisa, in particular, is GORGEOUS! And I'm not one to like reds that much either! I need that one! There are a lot of gems in this part of the collection.
ReplyDeleteFei Fei is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow, these are all gorgeous. Way to go Zoya!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors, but, oh my gosh, I hate the names. Still, I hope I can find the money to buy several of them, especially the red one.
ReplyDeletethis is just an absolutely gorgeous collection!! thank you for the swatches :).
ReplyDeleteFeifei kinda reminds me of Zoya Crystal! And Daul reminds me of Orly Oui! This is a really gorgeous collection though. I like it much better than last year's!
ReplyDeleteFeiFei reminds me of Crystal as well. In fact, I had to pull out my bottle of it when FeiFei came in the mail. And then I wasn't sure why I NEEDED FeiFei, because they do look similar. And then I saw Scrangie's shaken bottle photos again. And then I remember why I needed it. Haha.
DeleteOh my gosh, I just died. Zoya is already one of my favorites, but wow! LOVE these! ESPECIALLY Daul, FeiFei and Song!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, that blue just blew my mind. I NEED IT! :O
ReplyDeleteAll of them are amazing, but Fei Fei.. Wow! Looking forward to see the rest of them.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing collection! You are so right that every color has something special about it. I can't wait to see the other half!
ReplyDeleteDaul reminds me of Orly's Oui and Deborah Milano's #60. If you have one of these would you be able to do a comparison??
ReplyDeleteI don't have either color, sorry :(
DeleteZoya really do know how to create some great colours, love Daul, gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteDaul reminds me of one OPI Serena W. polishes and is Suri a dupe for NUBAR Passadena purple? Could you compare it?
ReplyDeleteSuri is darker than Pasadena Purple, and Zoya Faye is a dupe of the Serena Williams one :)
DeleteAw man, I want to buy the entire collection! Especially FeiFei and Ray, woah.
ReplyDeleteI don't have it with me to hold up to the screen, but it looks like Daul might be a dupe (or at least similar) to Orly's Oui. Do you think you could do a comparison?
Sorry, I don't have Orly Oui :(
DeletePity! If we lived on the same continent (or international shipping weren't such a bitch) I'd be glad to send you a bottle ^_^
DeleteOMG I hate Zoya - right after I managed to talk myself into cutting down on my nail polish buying, I need FOUR of these! (Daul, Feifei, Ray, & Song) Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSong is a gorgeous blue! Ray and Suri are also very pretty.
ReplyDeleteMmmh, "FeiFei" looks the most original, but I'd like to see other swatches, that red-pink shimmer is interesting :>
ReplyDeleteWow!! These are all so gorgeous and vibrant! I agree that Elisa screams "Christmas!". I love how glowy it is. I'm loving all of these, and of course your flawless swatches make them irresistible!
ReplyDeleteFei Fei...wow can you compare that to noel and Elisa to BL knees Up if you have it??
ReplyDeleteSorry, I don't have Knees Up :(
DeleteDang, I'm not really feeling this collection....but at least that makes my wallet happy!
ReplyDeleteOK, looks like I have to put all those polishes on my wishlist because I cannot decide which I like best, they're all great!
ReplyDeleteFantastic swatchs, thanks for sharing :) I love Ray. Although every Zoya polish I own is green...I obviously like the way they do green!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collection! Do you know how long it usually takes for Zoya to get them on their website?
ReplyDeleteHmm... I've never noticed. They're usually always there on the promised release date, but I don't know exactly what time of day they show up.
DeleteWhoa! FeiFei & Daul! Looks like Daul = Orly Oui(which I don't own) just like Faye = Orly Ingenue (which I do own). I love Zoya so I spose I'd like to buy the shade from them more than anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteI must have FeiFei!
ReplyDeleteFall collections are definitely my favourite, these are gorgeous and I can wait to see your swatches for the other half !: ) I definitely need song and feifei : )
ReplyDeleteWow.. This collection is gorgeous!! If there weren't so expensive I would buy them all!! I definitely need Daul, Feifei and suri. When CG released their fall collection I was really dissapointed and was hoping this wouldn't set the tone for the rest of the collections. But thank you Zoya, you just made my day.
ReplyDeleteWow! This just made my day! Love them all. And if they weren't so expensive to get for me, I would buy them all. But I definitely need Daul, Feifei and Suri.
ReplyDeleteThey're all gorgeous!! Must have them all!! :O
ReplyDeleteFeiFei looks insane, soo cool!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for holos from the press release descriptions of FeiFei and Daul. These seem like just multicolor foils. I'm a little disappointed in those two.
ReplyDeleteThat being said I want the red, blue, green and especially the purple. Zoya nailed those, as usual!
Has Zoya ever done holos?
DeleteSo far, no. I mean, they call their flakies holos, but they've never done a real holo. I'm always hoping, though!
DeleteEach and every one of these is stunning! Another whole set on my wishlist!
ReplyDeletethis collection is a bit of a "meh" to me, but your swatches are great! :)
ReplyDeletecan you make a comparison with Daul and Orly Oui? I don't, I think I've seen this color before
and Fei Fei is gorgeous! :D how does it compare to Crystal?
Sorry, I don't have Orly Oui :( But compared to Crystal, FeiFei is darker, sheerer, more colors of shimmer and not as dense of a finish.
DeleteWOW this is a pretty collection, I don't think I have anything like FeiFei, and if it's available for sale July 15th, guess what this lady's using her Zoya promo codes for...:-)
ReplyDeleteOMG I didn't even hear about this! The last 3-4 I will try to get!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to convince myself that I don't need this entire set...
ReplyDeleteSo far, it's not working.
FeiFei, Song and Ray are MUSTS. We'll see about the rest when the release date comes along :D
Is Zoya Ray anywhere close to Butter London's British Racing Green? I mean, the finish is obviously different, but how similar is the color?
ReplyDeleteSorry, don't have that one either :(
DeleteHow close is Ray to Butter London British Racing Green? It looks a tad darker in your swatch, but it's hard to tell for sure.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a winter set to me, not a fall one. But still very pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh Wow I will be needing them all! So looking forward to seeing the other 6.... :)
ReplyDeleteIs Daul a dupe for OPI It's My Year?
ReplyDeleteI think it is, if my memory serves me right. Like a more purple version of Zoya Faye/OPI Rally Pretty Pink
DeleteIt's My Year is the dupe I thought of as well! When you compare your blog swatches, they look very, very similar.
DeleteHow does Zoya Daul compare to Sally Hansen HD Opulent Cloud? I know the finishes are different, but the colors look similar from swatches.
ReplyDeleteHm, don't know if they're comparable, really. Opulent cloud is mostly blue-grey-gold, Daul is purple and gold.
DeleteWhat a treat to wake up and see these! I haven't been particularly excited about any recent collections, but this one looks pretty darn spiffy. And I love reading your thoughts on each of the colors. Thanks so much for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteFab swatches. Is Song very similar to aEngland Order of the Garter, I wonder.... It looks like the color might be similar, but Song looks like she has more glitter.
ReplyDeleteI need Daul in my life. How is it that I fall for every single Zoya polish?
ReplyDeleteWOW! These look gorgeous. Definitely one of Zoya's best Fall collections!
ReplyDeleteOh, my. I foresee myself buying most of these...
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI didn't like these at first, but maybe the colors are growing on me...
DeleteI really like these colors! FeiFei looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteDaul is stunning! I'd take them all bar Ray. xoxo
ReplyDeleteFeiFei is an INSTANT must-have.
ReplyDeleteElisa reminds me of Zoya Isla and A England Perceval - both intense, shimmery reds. Does it remind anyone else of those?
ReplyDeleteFelFel is a real attention grabber, other than that, the others don't really say "come hither" . Your swatches are always so perfect,Scrangie :-)
ReplyDeleteHoly crap! I need Ray and FeiFei! I don't have any other colors like those two. Maybe they'll be my first Zoya polishes!
ReplyDeleteThey're so pretty, can't wait to see the other half!
ReplyDeleteHoly lemming- can I just like buy FeiFei from you? Seriously it's GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteOHhh, this is a beautiful collection. I love Fei Fei and Song, those will definitely be in my stash when they go on sale.
ReplyDeleteDaul reminds me of OPI Rally Pretty Pink. Do they look similar in person?
ReplyDeleteThat blue is gorgeous!
Ohhh, need FeiFei and Song. Thanks for sharing those swatches! Beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteMe thinks Song is a reference to Doctor Who.
ReplyDeleteI certainly hope so! It would be the perfect color for the child of the Tardis :D
DeleteOoh, I hope it's a deliberate reference too! I can't wait to get my hands on a perfect TARDIS blue.
Deletehyperventilating over Daul here.... gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteElisa looks somewhat like China Glaze Red Pearl. Do you think they compare?
ReplyDeleteWow FeiFei and Song look incredible! Do you know of any Dupes to Song? Thanks for the beautiful pics :)
ReplyDeleteOMG Feifei must be mine! It's stunning!
ReplyDeleteFeiFei and Suri look like must haves to me :)
ReplyDeleteWWWWOOOOOWWWW! Song is screaming my name! Meanwhile Ray whispers to me! :))
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a side-by-side of Feifei & Faye.
FeiFei is such an unusual colour - I love it! Can't think of any polish I have that's similar.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to swatch so many different colours all in one post. I really enjoy seeing your photos and reading your thoughts on various beauty products (not just nail polish)! :D
I usually manage to stay away from Zoya, but omgggg I need Daul! Wonderful swatches, as always:)
ReplyDeleteI'm such a Zoya fan! Now I know what to get with my next promo code. Question though...is the Daul a rose gold? It's coming off that way but it may just be my screen. If not, any recommendations for a good rose gold polish? My hunt continues...
ReplyDeleteHm, no, I wouldn't call it such... Could be your monitor, I see a yellow-gold in a purple base, not so much rose gold. As for a good rose gold polish... I'm still looking for one too! Seems like a color no one really makes!
DeleteThanks for the clarification! I checked out Orly's Oui at Ulta yesterday since so many people were mentioning it as a possible dupe and it's definitely much more purple than I thought. I did end up finding a decent rose gold from Orly in Rage while I was there. It's pretty close to the shade I want but I'm not in love with the formula. Got to love their mini bottles though before committing to the full size!
ReplyDeleteMmmm FeiFei and Ray catch my eye the most. These names though! FeiFei? Song? Daul? o_0 Still no Zoya Karen, but there's a Zoya Daul. *facepalm*
ReplyDeleteI'm so late to the party, I know, but I love all of these!! Particularly Daul and Fei Fei. I'm assuming Daul was named for the model Daul Kim, and what a perfect way to capture and memorialize her, with such a beautiful color.
ReplyDeleteDo you have AEngland Perceval or Zoya Isla to compare to Elisa?
ReplyDeleteHi! Would u know if Zoya Song is anywhere close to OPI swimsuit nailed it pls? Thank u!
ReplyDeleteColor and finish are different, but they are similar! Both metallic bright blues. OPI one is a true foil.
DeleteHi! Would u know if Zoya Song is anywhere close to OPI swimsuit nailed it pls? Thank u!
ReplyDeleteHi Scrangie...I haven't had time to read through all the comments so maybe it's been mentioned already, but would you say the Zoya Daul is similiar to OPI It's my year? Which one do you like better? Trying to decide between the two. Thanks for any help.
ReplyDeleteKendra
Yep, sure enough someone already pointed out that Daul could pass for a dupe of OPI It's my year.
ReplyDelete
