Embrace Retro Textured Classics with…
ORLY’s New Plastix Collection
ORLY, the company that continually pioneers the Nail Lacquer arena with the most cutting edge colors, technology and textures, introduces the Plastix Collection. Complementing the Fall 2010 runway looks that featured bright neon colors amid shiny black plastic, latex, and rubber reinventions of vintage must-haves, Plastix evokes the vintage classic trend with four new lacquers and a unique new formula that coats the nails with a smooth glossy matte “plastic” finish. The exclusive finish and texture is a first in the nail category, delivering a monochromatic, shiny and rubbery look that takes experimentation to an entirely new level, with the focus being on both the distinctive nail surface, as well as the latest in color trends. The unique look can not be achieved with color alone as the finish is a must for recreating the true “plastic” statement.
Old School Orange: classic orange
Retro Red: traditional red
Purple Pleather: shiny purple
Viridian Vinyl: glossy blue-green
All ORLY Nail Lacquers including the Plastix Collection are free of DBP and all traces of Toluene, Formaldehyde and Formaldehyde resin.

ReplyDeleteWhoops, think I fixed it now XD That's what I get for copy and paste! lol
ReplyDeleteI think they look quite promissing! I'll keep my head up for these for sure! <3
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post ;)
this sounds like something I would like :)
ReplyDeleteI must get that orange one! :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds odd!? Can't wait to see them :)
ReplyDeleteThis seems like a really fun collection. I'm stil really loving the matte look. it will be nice to have that same finish in some bright shades.
ReplyDeleteOK - I'm confused. Glossy matte finish? What does that mean?
ReplyDeleteThese sound interesting - in my head I'm picturing a finish like latex or pvc club wear. Sort of rubbery/matte but with a noticeable sheen.
ReplyDeleteDefinetly going to have to check these out. Sounds very interesting. :~)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what these will look like!
ReplyDeleteHmm. I hope the "rubbery" look doesn't look like a matte fail.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure how I would feel about wearing something rubbery-looking. I will wait until I see you wearing it,SCrangie.:-)
ReplyDeleteWow that sounds interesting! I can't wait to see them!
ReplyDeleteI am curious how these look swatched. They sound interesting.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I can't really imagine what this would be like...
ReplyDeleteI think Orly could lose the word 'vintage' from this write up. The idea of vintage latex makes me think of dish gloves.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I am so curious about the orange!
0.0 must.... have
ReplyDeleteInteresting....can't wait to see them swatched.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely more interested in the other collection (gimme sparkly stuff!), but I'm very curious to see what a "glossy matte finish" looks like... Can't wait to see the shade of the purple, too!
ReplyDeleteplease get these for us....
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really exciting! Think the colors look nice.
ReplyDeleteMost cutting edge colors? Orly? Oh please...
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, and have bought some colors I love based on your recommendations. I was wondering what your favorite base coat and top coat is. I'm using seche vites retain base coat and their fast drying top coat and my nails are chipping and flaking within a day of painting them. What do you use that works best? Thanks for such a great blog!
ReplyDeletei cant wait to see them on nails :)
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty excited for the new collections!!! I have been searching far and wide for some great summer-y colors. Although the plastix collection sort of reminds me of that Zoya Flash collection. I guess we'll seeeeeee
ReplyDeleteHaha, don't flatter yourselves Orly.
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait to see these swatches!
ReplyDeleteI went to Ulta last night and they already had these, but they were behind the register and the girl wouldn't sell them to me lol I begged and begged but she refused :( Maybe they will start selling them before July since they already have them in stock.
