Uncharacteristic Konad
This is a base of BB Couture For Men Intake Valve with Konad plate m73 stamped in Konad Princess Polish Grey Pearl. This is very uncharacteristic of me.... A soft flowery Konad? But I really enjoyed how this one turned out and I wore it until it chipped. Intake Valve is a total chameleon. Sometimes it looks like a pale putty color and sometimes it looks like a light pink/light mauve. And the Grey Pearl? It's purple. At least I think this is grey pearl. Konad Princess Polishes don't seem to have labels on them... or they fell off... one of the two. But yeah. This one is a soft shimmery dusty lavender.
I use plate m73 with this particular design a LOT, but I've never done such a feminine looking arrangement of colors with it. My favorite design with m73 is chrome gold like China Glaze 2030 over China Glaze Emerald Sparkle, and I think I've posted that one before.
I was admiring this manicure on my fingers on the day I stamped it when suddenly I realized what it reminded me of... This looks like those floral print turtlenecks my mother-in-law wears. (>.<)
Aww this looks really cute though. It's something I would usually wear, if I had the patience to put this on of course :)
ReplyDeleteI love pink and grey together!
ReplyDeleteCute. I love how you're not only posting new collections. We like seeing random stuff like this.
ReplyDeleteLove,love,love it!
ReplyDeleteOooh so pretty! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love it, normally i don't like konad, I think it looks like two separate things, but this is so cute!!
ReplyDeletePretty, and funny too (the m-i-l comment made me laugh because it reminds me of mine too!).
ReplyDeleteRandom posts rock!
"This looks like those floral print turtlenecks my mother-in-law wears. (>.<)" LMFAO
ReplyDeleteWhat is that stamping thing you're doing? I really like it.
ReplyDeleteLove this and I love the gold/emerald sparkle version you've posted before too. I've never used Konad before but you are tempting me to get it!
ReplyDeleteThis looks lovely! I'm still awaiting the arrival of my Konad. Wow, I can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteIt suits your complexion well. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteMay ask what camera you use? I am in the market for one and I love how ow true the colour develops from your pics.
Oh, such a lovely pattern... I wish I could do this so neatly as you do. I have bought one kit myself and I was not able to apply the patterns correctly. It’s a shame. But your manicure skills are awesome. Love your blog! (I always keep an eye on it)
ReplyDeleteOh, this is gorgeous! It's always fun to wear something out the norm every now and then. :)
ReplyDeleteso lovely :)
ReplyDeleteYour nails are too perfect.
ReplyDeleteGot any tips on how to paint them so well? (for example, how to avoid painting over the cuticle.)
nice!
ReplyDeleteI love that floral stamp--so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteIt's very delicate and attractive on you.
ReplyDeleteThis looks lovely, I love the color combo!! And I must get that plate, that's a cute pattern! :)
ReplyDeleteI love subtle manicures too.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI'm new to your site; I love it! I've been digging way back into your archives and checking out every swatch :D
I notice that you often mention the lengthy time that some nail polishes take to dry; is there any reason you don't use a hairdryer (set on cool) to speed up the drying process?
Thanks (for everything; the site is really amazing!)

so girly and lovely! stunning konad.
ReplyDeleteI'm SO not a girly-girl either, except for the occasional french tips, but I think this is gorgeous!! These colors look great together. ROFLMAO at the turtleneck comment! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Turtlenecks or not, that's one of the most beautiful konads I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteOMG YOU'RE MARRIED?!?!? haha but luv your nails though, avid fan of your blog. I'm like, halfway across the globe but follow it religiously hehe. Post more pix of nail art soon!
ReplyDeleteThat is really beautiful and looks so lovely on your nails - which as always look wonderful, a source of pure envy for me as mine are short and prone to flaking! I sometimes think Konads can look a bit too obvious so the subtlety of this is what makes it so nice, imo.
ReplyDeleteLOL turtlenecks. I think it's so cute and girly :3
ReplyDeleteI just removed a mani that was identical to that one. I had seen your version before, totally forgot about it and then felt this intense urge to paint my nails with color club Who are you wearing? and stamp that exact design with Konad Royal purple. I just knew it was going to look good. Now I'm looking at your recent posts again (Yes I frequently look at your pics way more than once haha) and realize were I got the idea from.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how your brain makes you think something is your idea when in reality you're unaware that you're copying someone else. It's kinda scary actually.
Anyway, it goes without saying that I loved your mani.
